Went Home

I played through Gone Home last night, and it was wonderful.

It’s the story of a girl, seen through the eyes of her big sister.

It’s the story of her family told through the memories they’ve kept safe and the choices they’ve made.

It’s a story of growing up, of self-discovery and answering the question of what is right for me, who am I, how can I be happy?

It’s interactive fiction more than a game,” a story with a few light puzzle elements. It was absolutely beautiful, a joy to play. I finished it in about three hours, but they were three wonderful, meaningful, emotional hours, and I could not ask for a longer experience.

I can’t speak further without spoiling it, without ruining everything about the story that is worth experiencing. Go home, and experience it for yourself.
